Richard O'Brien's The Rocky Horror Show Arlington Theatre reviews
Rick Springfield never gets old
Last night's great experience at the Rickman Auditorium for all the old and young "Rick" fans, was a concert that still has it, the 80's Rocker. The venue was an intimate space that allowed every seat to be a great seat, with better acoustics than some concerts I have attended in the past, and great lighting, allowing the audience to see the performer and the performer to see his fans (He even commented that he liked the effect).
Richard O'Brien's The Rocky Horror Show's energy-filled show was a mix of his old songs and those from his most recent release, "Whats Victoria's Secret?". He kept the audience involved by joining us on the floor and choosing audience members and security staff to join in singing.
It was one of the best shows I have seen of Richard O'Brien's The Rocky Horror Show, a great experience for all the Rick fans who attended, several times in the past few years.
Since the Richard O'Brien's The Rocky Horror Show's show was packaged with the Legends of Branson, and the two shows would seem to draw from a very different demographic, I only wonder what others thought of the show if they bought the package for the Legends event. The audience was of a varied age grouping and very diverse. It seemed that there were many audience members who arrived and had no idea what kind of show they were going to get last night. Perhaps Rickman Auditorium should reconsider grouping performers or keeping them in the same style of performance.
It was a great show and I look forward to taking family to the Legends concert in January.
